Michael Lantz, CEO, Accedo

Michael Lantz co-founded Accedo in 2004 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since then. In his role as CEO, Michael has lead Accedo to become the global market leading supplier of Video Experience Solutions with 500 employees across 18 offices. Michael’s background as a management consultant and extensive industry experience make him an appreciated speaker and advisor to Accedo’s diverse mix of customers all over the world.

Vijay Subramaniam, Director & Head of Content, Amazon Prime Video

In his role as Director & Head of Content for India, Vijay leads all content acquisitions for Prime Video and productions under the Amazon Studios banner. He is responsible for Prime Video’s content strategy and its execution across the spectrum of acquisitions and content creation. Having joined Amazon in 2017, he and his team work with India’s best creators and producers to bring premium quality content to their customers.

Huang Baozhong, Executive Vice President, APT Satellite

Mr. Huang Baozhong, Executive Vice President of APT Satellite Company Ltd (APT) responsible for marketing and sales. Dr. Roger Tong, CEO, AsiaSat

Dr. Roger Tong, AsiaSat’s CEO, has over 33 years' experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry. Dr. Tong has held various senior management positions at COM DEV International, Allen Telecom and Mark IV Industries. Prior to joining AsiaSat in 2008, Dr. Tong worked as Technical Consultant to Telesat Canada. Dr. Tong holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the McMaster University, Canada, a MBA degree from the Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada and a Doctor of Business Administration from University of Newcastle in Australia.

Fred Vong, VP, Engineering, AsiaSat

Fred Vong is AsiaSat’s VP, Engineering. He has over 20 years’ satellite and telecommunications service experience. Fred Vong leads the engineering team in supporting customer activities, from network design to implementation, developing spacecraft programs, managing spectrum resources of the company and working with other departments to assess and crystallise opportunity from new technologies. Fred Vong has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Master of Philosophy from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Hong Kong, and the Bachelor of Law from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Ina Lui, Senior Vice President, Commercial, Business Development & Strategy, AsiaSat

Ina Lui is AsiaSat’s Senior Vice President, Commercial, Business Development & Strategy. Ms. Lui has 25 years’ experience in the satellite, telecommunications and technology sectors, covering areas in sales, marketing, product and business development. She has worked in Singapore, South China and Hong Kong, and has held senior management positions at ABS, Intelsat, PanAmSat and Hong Kong Telecom. Prior to joining AsiaSat in June 2018, Ina was at ABS as Managing Director, Sales Asia Pacific. Ina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from the City University of Hong Kong.

John Medeiros, Chief Policy Officer, Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA)

John Medeiros is the Chief Policy Officer of Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) as well as Senior Government Relations Advisor to the Board. He leads the Association’s program of engagement with governments and the policy community inside and outside Asia. AVIA’s advocacy of members’ interests, and ongoing dialogue with a wide range of regulatory officials on behalf of the pay-TV industry are under his direction. He also coordinates the Association’s research, education, and intellectual property enforcement activities.

Louis Boswell, CEO, Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA)

Louis Boswell is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA). As CEO, his remit is to lead the industry through championing all broad based initiatives that result in a more vibrant and healthy video ecosystem. This includes being at the forefront of industry research, supporting evolving business models, understanding the role of technology, representing the industry in conversations with regulators and taking a leading role in eliminating piracy.

Agnes Rozario, Co-Chief, International and Regional Content, Astro

Agnes incorporates a strong customer focus in the execution of her responsibilities, including the launch of Video on Demand across multiple screens and premium movie services: Astro First and Astro Best, to deliver content to a premium audience. Astro First became a game changer in the industry, uniquely offering a pay-per-view movie service. Agnes holds Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics degrees from Monash University, Australia.

CK Lee, Vice President & Chief of Sports, Astro

As Astro’s Chief of Sports, CK Lee leads Astro’s venture into all sports including eSports with eGG Network, a dedicated eSports channel, currently available in eight ASEAN countries. eGG Network has built the capabilities to distribute eSports content via linear and OTT platforms; and produce original content and live eSports tournaments in partnership with eSports games companies and sponsors.

Henry Tan, Chief Executive Office Designate, Astro

Henry is a strong believer in local and Asian content. He has pioneered many firsts including the first Korean HD, content “vernacularisation” with Malay comedy, Hokkien entertainment and ASEAN horror, digital vernaculars such as Gempak and XUAN, as well as eSports and Tamago. Working with like-minded partners, he has been championing Nusantara content. Henry looks forward to deepening and extending Astro’s current strengths to individuals, taking the company beyond content to include commerce in its ecosystem while continuing to enrich consumer lifestyle through personalisation and value-adds.

Romil Ramgarhia, COO, BARC India

Romil has been with BARC India since 2013 and been involved in setting up the largest TV audience measurement system in the world. One of the youngest COOs in Indian broadcast sector, Romil has been instrumental in strategy, planning and roll out of BARC’s services. He has also been involved in strengthening the overall business strategy as well as developing innovative funding and pricing structure of the organisation.

Shad Hashmi, Vice President, Digital Development Global Markets and Operations, BBC Studios

Shad Hashmi carries global responsibilities for the sales of BBC Studios digital propositions to telcos and for the continued development, implementation and roll-out of these digital propositions across BBC Studios’s Global Markets division – which includes Asia, Central Europe & Middle East (CEMA), and Northern and Western Europe. Prior to BBC Studios, Shad worked at international media companies including CNBC and Encompass Digital Media delivering strategic digital and technology initiatives.

David Weiland, Executive Vice President, Asia, BBC Studios

David manages all of BBC Studios’ businesses in Asia. This includes driving revenue and profit growth across TV, Digital & Format Sales, Channels, Production and Consumer Products as well as business development in Greater China, India, Japan, Korea and across SE Asia. Previously based in London, he oversaw all BBCW business across France, Germany, the Nordics, Benelux, Italy and Iberia as EVP, Western Europe.

Jasper Donat, CEO, Branded

Jasper began his career in advertising in London in 1987 moving to Eurosport in 1992. He moved to Asia in 1995 to work for Star Sports and joined Channel [V] in 1997 where he constructed many branded content deals whilst also working on the launch of channels in Australia, Thailand, Philippines and South Korea. Jasper co-founded BRANDED In 2001 and has since created the “Matters” series of events, the YouTube FanFest and It’s a Girl Thing. Branded was recently acquired by the Dentsu Aegis Network.

Dr Annurag Batra, Chairman & Editor in Chief, BW Businessworld & Exchange4Media

Mr. Annurag Batra is a first generation entrepreneur and currently the Chairman of BW Businessworld- the iconic 36 year old business media and magazine brand. Jeff joined ContentWise with 20+ years of experience in managing and driving solutions throughout the APAC region for the broadcast, pay TV and OTT markets. He held several sales management positions with companies such as SeaChange, Verimatrix, Conax, Irdeto Access and Amino Communications where he was instrumental in penetrating into several key tier 1 operators in the region. Sandro Catanzaro, Chief Innovation Officer, Dataxu

Sandro Catanzaro is Chief Innovation Officer at dataxu. Prior to co-founding dataxu, Sandro held positions at Bain & Company and NASA. Based on research he did at MIT, he co-invented the real-time optimization algorithm that lies at the core of the dataxu technology platform. His perspective on the future of marketing, ranging from Programmatic TV to Advanced Analytics, has been influencing the industry for more than a decade.

Anna Pak Burdin, Vice President and General Manager - Southeast Asia, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific

John Tanner, Editor-in-chief, Disruptive.Asia

Patrick Fok, Head of Strategy, APAC, Feature Story News

Patrick’s main role as FSN’s APAC Head of Strategy is to develop partnerships between the Washington DC-headquartered agency and TV networks, as well as other media outlets across the region. He also acts as Greater China correspondent and reports regularly for TRT World, i24, CGTN, France 24 and SABC. Prior to joining FSN, Patrick headed Reuters Broadcast Solutions in Asia, where he helped launch Viu TV’s English-language news programmes. He was also part of a team that launched TRT World in Istanbul in 2015 and anchored the network’s first bulletin that went to air.

John Dykes, Presenter, Sports, Asia Pacific, FOX Networks Group

John Dykes is Asia’s most high-profile football presenter and analyst. The host of Fox Sports’ “The John Dykes Show”, which airs during primetime, three nights a week, John has been a firm favourite with Asian football fans for more than 20 years. Gregg Daffner, CEO, GapSat

Gregg Daffner is CEO of GapSat, a satellite venture that leases entire in-orbit satellites to satellite operators for use in their orbital slots for interim periods of time, generally until the operator launches its own satellite. Previously Gregg co-founded and was president of Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS). Gregg is the Chairman of the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) Satellite Wireless Action Group, President of the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC), and a member of the Board of Governors of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC).

Mark Seidenfeld, Head of Android TV Partnerships, APAC, Google

Mark has been working in Telecom, Media & Telecom for over 20 years. He began his career starting a competitive local exchange carrier in Moscow and has since held senior roles in 5 countries across telecom, media and the ad tech industry. At Google, Mark heads Android TV Partnerships for all of APAC and is based out of Singapore.

Rohan Tiwary, Head of Broadcast, Media & Entertainment Partnerships APAC, Google

Rohan Tiwary is a technology and media executive with experience across sales, strategy consulting and product marketing. As Regional Head of Broadcast, Media & Entertainment Partnerships for Google APAC, he manages complex cross-Google initiatives to bring relevant solutions to partners that help them remain at the forefront of innovation and technology. Prior to joining Google, Rohan led management consulting projects at Accenture for the Comms, Media and Technology vertical. He has also worked with leading broadcast and print organisations.

Thierry Fautier, VP, Video Strategy, Harmonic

As Vice President of Video Strategy at Harmonic, Thierry Fautier is in charge of defining and driving the execution of the long term strategy of Harmonic’s video business. He is the current President of the Ultra HD Forum, founding member of The VR Industry Forum and also co-chair of the MPEG Roadmap committee that is tasked to present the 2020 MPEG roadmap to the industry.

Jonathan Spink, CEO, HBO Asia

Jonathan Spink is responsible for the overall management of HBO in Asia. He has spearheaded HBO Asia’s growing network of channels – HBO, HBO SIGNATURE, HBO FAMILY, HBO HITS, CINEMAX, MAX by HBO and RED by HBO – as well as internet streaming platform, HBO GO; subscription video on demand (SVOD) service, HBO On Demand; and a branded SVOD service in China, 鼎级剧场 (ding ji ju chang). Dr Bernard Chan Pak-li, JP, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government

Before joining the Government, Dr Chan spent about 10 years working in the technology sector, gaining experience in intellectual property trading and crossover collaboration. From 2008 to 2013, Dr Chan served as a member of the Kwun Tong District Council. Dr Chan holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and a PhD degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University, USA.

Anuj heads a content monetisation team for traditional & new media platforms at IndiaCast, a JV between TV18 and Viacom. He is also involved with Reliance Jio for acquisition for all Jio video and audio apps. Earlier, Anuj has held leadership positions at Den Networks and Set Discovery. A graduate from SP Jain Institute of Management, Anuj’s other interests include travelling, music, reading and movies.

David Downey, CEO, INVIDI

David Downey has over 30 years in cable television, new media technologies, and television advertising. As CEO of INVIDI he raised over $100MM and secured distribution agreements for 70MM homes in the U.S., 30MM of which are deployed. Prior to INVIDI he was the founder of Across Media Networks, the nation's first computer television network, and before that he was with Triax Communications where he helped the company grow to over 800,000 cable subscribers.

Nick Burfitt, Managing Director, APAC, Kantar Media

Nick's remit is to oversee all Kantar Media media measurement activities in the region ensuring that existing clients are well served and that new opportunities are developed. This includes existing Kantar Media TV measurement services in Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore as well as joint ventures in Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was Global Director for Audience Targeting within Kantar Media Audiences with overall responsibility for the ongoing development and management of Kantar Media Return Path Data (RPD) services.

With more than 20 years of experience in media and telecoms, Vivek Couto is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Media Partners Asia (MPA). With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and India, MPA is a market leader in the provision of advisory, consulting and research services, focusing on media, telecoms and entertainment. At MPA, Vivek leads teams to offer clients corporate strategy, market research, advocacy studies, asset appraisal and M&A-related due diligence.

Datuk Kamal Khalid, Group Managing Director, Media Prima Berhad

Datuk Kamal Khalid, aged 47, a Malaysian, has been Group Managing Director of Media Prima Berhad since 2 August 2017. He has been with Media Prima since May 2009. Prior to that, he served as Head of the Communications Unit in the Prime Minister's Office for 6 years. He has also worked in the financial services sector in banking and private equity financing and at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now Bursa Malaysia).

Arun Bhikshesvaran, Chief Marketing Officer, MediaKind (formerly Ericsson Media Solutions)

Arun leads the global Marketing & Communications function at MediaKind. Arun is an experienced Marketer having been global CMO of the Ericsson Group where he led the global Marketing Leadership team across all business areas and geographies. He has built several global, cross-functional teams and has been instrumental in key business wins. He has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering completed Post Graduate Executive Programs at Columbia Business School and Kellogg.

James Miner, Chief Executive Officer, MinerLabs & Video Assure

James Miner is a digital pioneer. He led teams in Asia, Silicon Valley, and Silicon Alley. James held leadership roles at Prodigy, About.com, Y&R, GroupM, Scient, ESPN STAR Sports, and Fox Sports Asia. Stephane Le Dreau, Senior Vice President, Regional General Manager APAC, NAGRA

Stéphane joined Nagra in 2009 as VP Product and Solutions in the marketing organisation and has taken South Asia Sales responsibility in 2011. Stéphane has over 18 years of experience in the management of complex solutions in an international environment, holding various senior sales and marketing positions at Nortel in Dallas (US), Hong Kong, Paris (France) and London (UK). Stéphane graduated in 1987 from Ecole Superieure d'Electronique de l'Ouest in France.

Tony Zameczkowski, VP, Business Development, Asia, Netflix

Anthony (“Tony”) Zameczkowski is Vice President, Business Development for Netflix Asia. Tony has held pivotal roles within huge organizations operating where he has been responsible for leading teams in strategic partnerships and business development efforts in ever-changing and fast-moving environments. With more than 17 years’ experience in the media and technology industry, Tony has a proven track record of building and strengthening strategic partnerships with key players across content verticals (entertainment, music, sports and news) in markets covering Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia.

Ranjeet Laungani, SVP, Asia Pacific, Nielsen Marketing Cloud, Nielsen

Ranjeet Laungani leads Nielsen’s digital and media businesses across Greater China and North Asia and is also responsible for the expansion, growth and commercial success of Nielsen’s Marketing Cloud and DMP solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Ranjeet has spent over 15 years with Nielsen across its buy and watch verticals. He has two undergraduate degrees and holds an MBA in Finance.

Janice Lee, Managing Director, PCCW Media Group

Janice Lee is Managing Director of PCCW Media Group, in charge of the Company’s media and entertainment businesses including Hong Kong’s largest pay-TV service Now TV, pan-regional OTT streaming video service Viu which operates in 16 markets across Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East, and digital streaming music service MOOV. Ms. Lee joined PCCW in January 2003 and was appointed Executive Vice President of TV & New Media in 2006. She was appointed Managing Director of PCCW Media Group in 2010.

Mamie Leung, SVP Content Development, PCCW Media Group

Mamie has been leading Now TV’s content strategy and managing its wide range of content partnerships to support Now TV’s evolution and overall business growth over the past ten years. She also heads up Now TV’s sport production team and content development for “Now E” which is a new one-stop entertainment OTT platform launched in May 2018 for Millennials to enjoy their favourite content anytime, anywhere with no strings attached.

Carlson Chu, Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy and Development, PCCW-HKT

Mr. Carlson Chu is the Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy and Development of HKT Limited, and he is a core member of the CTO Office. He plays a key role in defining technology strategy and coordinating development activities in the company to accomplish the quadruple-play strategy.

Unmish Parthasarathi, Co-founder and Director, Picture Board

Unmish's love affair with digital video started in 2000, when he was deputed from the London newsroom of Sports News Television (IMG's JV with the Associated Press) to create a wholesale service offering for "portals". Next came a startup, creating videos of Champions League matches and Robbie Williams concerts followed by the iPlayer at the BBC, ESPN Player in Singapore, KL and Hong Kong, Ballball in Indonesia, Vietnam & Japan, and, in-match video highlights for the ICC in 140+ countries.

David Ranter, Senior Manager, Pioneer Consulting Asia

David is a Senior Manager at Pioneer Consulting Asia (PCA) where he works with telcos and media companies to shape their digital product strategies across South East Asia. David also leads PCA’s research team which tracks consumer online viewing habits across 10 markets in Asia including India and China. He’s spent the last 12 years in the region, previously driving early revenue growth at the Asian Food Channel prior to its acquisition by Scripps Network. He holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Virat Patel, Managing Director, Pioneer Consulting Asia

Virat Patel is the Managing Director of Pioneer Consulting Asia, a management consultancy specialising in telecoms, media and digital in Asia. He is based in Singapore. He has extensive experience in business strategy, business planning, and market entry. He has developed pay TV, broadband and video strategies for platforms and content providers. His recent work includes project covers fibre optic networks 5G, IOT and smart city developments. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of IET, UK.

Sushant Sharma, Managing Director, Qvest Media

Sushant is Managing Director at Qvest Media, responsible for local operations, growth strategy and business development in APAC. Before Qvest Media, Sushant headed Consulting Services and was Director of Sales/BD at Accedo where he worked with Asia’s leading Broadcasters, Operators and Telcos to build, launch and operate their OTT Services. Prior to Accedo, Sushant was a Management Consultant and advised Fortune-500 companies in Corporate VC, Service Ideation and Go-to-market Strategy.

JunHong Park, Director, Lead Analyst, Korea Corporate Ratings & Asia Pacific Corporate Ratings, S&P Global Ratings

JunHong Park is a Director at S&P Global Ratings and a lead analyst for Korea Corporate Ratings. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for credit ratings on Korean and Chinese corporates including telecommunication, technology, auto, steel and utility sectors since 2010. He holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Statistics from Stanford University and a bachelor of Business Administration degree from Seoul National University.

Anurag Dahiya, Head of Content & Ad Sales, Singtel

Anurag Dahiya is Singtel TV’s Head of Content and Advertising Sales. He handles video content strategy and operations for Singtel TV, Singtel TV Go and Cast. Uday Sodhi, Business Head, Digital, Sony Pictures Network India

Uday has over 27 years of experience across varied broadcast and digital business verticals.

Michael Rogers, Executive Director Research, Asia Pacific, Sony Pictures Television

Michael's responsibilities include landscape, strategic and consumer behaviour research supporting Sony Picture Television’s regional movie and television content licensing and production businesses. Michael’s prior experience takes in spells at both Disney and NBCUniversal in London before relocating to Hong Kong 5 years ago. He is also Co-Chair of the AVIA Research Committee.

Anna Lockwood, Head of Market Development, Telstra Broadcast Services

Anna Lockwood is an experienced media industry executive specialising in sports and broadcast consulting. Anna has had previous global leadership roles in London, Singapore and Boston, and now works at Telstra at the convergence of the traditional broadcast industry and leading edge telecommunications and digital platforms.

Haohao Xu, Senior Director of Tencent Open Media Platform and Open Platform, Tencent

Alexandre Muller, MD, APAC, TV5MONDE

After working in the USA, Czech Republic and Taiwan, Mr. Muller joins TV5MONDE in 1997. He successfully heads several positions within the group before taking over the Asia-Pacific Department in 2004. Since 2007, he is based in Hong Kong as TV5MONDE’s Managing Director for Asia-Pacific. Alexandre is a member of the Asia Video Industry Association (ex CASBAA) Board of Directors since 2012, and the Board Member responsible for the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) OTT and Connected Media Committee.

SK Cheong, Executive Director & General Manager, TVB

S K CHEONG is Executive Director & General Manager of TVB. He is responsible for marketing, technology oversight and general management matters at TVB. He sits on the board of many of the company’s subsidiaries. He is a Fellow and Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Management Association and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute Marketing. Jean-Christophe Jubin, Vice President, Sales APAC, Viaccess-Orca

Divya Gopalan, Correspondent and Anchor

As a correspondent and anchor for the groundbreaking Al Jazeera English channel she has been nominated for an Emmy, and recently was part of the award-winning team covering the Rohingya refugee crisis. Dominic Lau, TV & Radio Presenter

Dominic Lau is an award winning television and radio presenter is one of the most recognized faces on television in Asia. Dom started his TV career as “VJ Dom” on Channel [V], and later went on to host on the E! Entertainment channel. Dom also has extensive experience reporting on-location from around the world which include hosting “Live From The Red Carpet” at the Academy Awards. Dom is currently appearing in Celebrity Car Wars on the History Channel.
