Ken Xu is currently a Lead Architect (Media) with Alibaba Cloud. Previously worked as Solution Architect and Senior Consultant with IBM GBS Cloud Application Services Service Line. Gaurav Gandhi, Director and Country GM, Amazon Prime Video India

In his role at Amazon, Gaurav is responsible for driving the overall business of Prime Video in India. With over 20 years of experience in the Media & Entertainment sector, Gaurav has the unique distinction of having operationally managed almost all aspects of the Broadcast & Digital Video Streaming business over the years. Anthony Dobson, VP, Media Partners Asia and MD, AMPD Research

Based in Singapore, Anthony heads Media Partners Asia's (MPA) consumer Insights division; AMPD Research. With over 25-years specialising in media insights, Anthony has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States, where he has conducted studies spanning content development and branding, advertising ROI. Anthony has pioneered MPA's passive digital audience measurement platform that provides unparalleled insight into the digital ecosystem and consumption metrics for OTT and VOD services across the APAC region.

Roger Tong, CEO, AsiaSat

Roger joined AsiaSat in March 2008 and was appointed CEO on 16 April 2018. Prior to joining AsiaSat, he was employed by Telesat Canada where he worked as a technical consultant and was responsible for various commercial satellite programmes. He has also held senior management positions at COM DEV International, Allen Telecom Inc. and Mark IV Industries Ltd. Roger has served as a board member of AVIA since November 2018.

John Medeiros, Chief Policy Officer, Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA)

John Medeiros is the Chief Policy Officer of Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) as well as Senior Government Relations Advisor to the Board. He leads the Association’s program of engagement with governments and the policy community inside and outside Asia. AVIA’s advocacy of members’ interests, and ongoing dialogue with a wide range of regulatory officials on behalf of the pay-TV industry are under his direction. He also coordinates the Association’s research, education, and intellectual property enforcement activities.

Louis Boswell is the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA). He previously spent 12 years with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) where he held various senior executive positions in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong and was responsible for developing and implementing content protection and advocacy strategies in 13 countries.

Agnes Rozario has been a core part of Astro’s growth and positioning as the top entertainment destination for Malaysians. She leads the company’s content team, which covers all vernaculars, regional and Hollywood content, sports and film businesses. Agnes was key in driving the success of Pay Per View and VOD services, which in 2018 had garneredover 50 million downloads and engagements. She also spearheads Asian originals via regional partnerships.

Lee Choong Kay, VP, Chief of Sports, Astro

Lee Choong Khay (CK) was instrumental in developing Astro’s sports services into one of the top sports proposition s in ASEAN. Dr Derrick Gray has 20 years global experience in audience measurement and audience information systems for various media including Linear Television, Digital Video and Radio. Dr Gray holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Athabasca University in Canada where his award winning research focused on Digital Innovation and the application of Big Data within the Media Industry. As one of the founding partners of Beach House Pictures, Jocelyn oversees company operations and international co-productions, forging partnerships with global brands that include Netflix, CCTV, Amazon, Nat Geo, Discovery, Lonely Planet, Fox International Channel, NBC Universal, Turner Broadcasting and BBC Worldwide. Tom Keaveny, Chief Innovation & Information Officer, beIN MEDIA GROUP

Tom Keaveny is beIN MEDIA GROUP’s Chief Innovation & Information Officer, and is responsible for the Technology, Digital, Data Analytics, Product Marketing, and Anti-Piracy departments across the global sports and entertainment broadcaster. Greg has more than 20 years of experience in advertising, digital marketing, and a rich experience in building consumer offerings in the technology, media & telecom sector. Daphne joined CATCHPLAY in 2012 and has led the company to grow persistently from a film distributor in Taiwan to now one of the most cutting-edge content and technology companies in the region. CATCHPLAY+, the company’s streaming service launched in 2016, now provides leading premium content and user experience to over 6 million users in Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia. Vitto is Vice President of Content Acquisition, Management & Strategy for Philippine Pay TV leader Cignal TV. A 20+ year veteran of the Philippine broadcast industry, Vitto currently manages the content requirements for both Cignal TV, the #1 Pay TV operator in the Philippines and for Free To Air channel TV5. He disbelieves the naysayer’s chant of “TV is dead” but rather rebut that “TV is evolving”. As INVIDI’s APAC VP Sales/GM, he spearheads the introduction of the cross-video ad technology, merging both linear and online TV inventories. Nick has a Bachelors Degree in E&E Engineering (Hons) from USM and Big Data Engineering for Analytics Certificate from NUS.

Tham Loke Kheng, CEO, Mediacorp

Tham Loke Kheng was appointed Mediacorp CEO and Board Director on 1 September 2017. An industry veteran with extensive media experience, Loke Kheng has spent her career steering the growth of pay television and broadband, as well as holding senior management and leadership roles in leading Asian operators in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. With her current appointment in Mediacorp, she comes full circle to the same organisation, where she started her career in 1988.

Anil Nihalani, Head of Digital Products & Technology, Mediacorp

Anil Nihalani is Head of Digital Products & Technology at Mediacorp. Prior to joining Mediacorp in 2014, Anil worked at Starhub, British Telecom (Singapore) and the then Telecom Authority of Singapore. Anil has a Masters of Science in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.

Nadeem Ashraf, Lead, Business HR & IR, Mediacorp

Nadeem is a HR professional who has had the privilege to work on both sides i.e. leading HR with local, regional & global responsibilities and as a business manager. Over the years, he has developed sound understanding of HR programs with the focus on skill building, talent management & facilitating change. He is also conversant about the challenges around digitization. Prior to joining Mediacorp, he led a companywide global transformation agenda, at Cargill, to accelerate adoption of digital trade documents (such as eBL, eContracts etc).

Sven Bolthausen, SVP & Head of Sales – North East Asia, MediaKind

Prior to MediaKind, Sven has held key positions in media related pre-sales and business development at Ericsson North America, Western and Central Europe & Northern Europe, Tele2 and Kienbaum International Consultants. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Cologne and has completed Executive Courses at Kellogg School of Management, IMD Lausanne and London Business School. He also serves as a board member of FYI Television.

Jeff Tan, VP of Sales, APAC, ContentWise

Jeff joined ContentWise with 20+ years of experience in managing and driving solutions throughout the APAC region for the broadcast, pay TV and OTT markets. He held several sales management positions with companies such as SeaChange, Verimatrix, Conax, Irdeto Access and Amino Communications where he was instrumental in penetrating into several key tier 1 operators in the region. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science from Queen Mary College, University of London.

Neil Sharpe, Director, Product Marketing, Friend MTS

Neil Sharpe is Director of Product Marketing at Friend MTS, which provides global monitoring and watermarking services to premium content providers to stop streaming piracy. With deep experience across the broadcast and digital media industry, spanning both live production and video delivery, he has contributed to the success of start-ups and major video technology businesses.

Rohan Tiwary, Head of Broadcast, Media & Entertainment Partnerships APAC, Google

Rohan Tiwary is a technology and media executive with experience across sales, strategy consulting and product marketing. As Regional Head of Broadcast, Media & Entertainment Partnerships for Google APAC, he manages complex cross-Google initiatives to bring relevant solutions to partners that help them remain at the forefront of innovation and technology. Prior to joining Google, Rohan led management consulting projects at Accenture for the Comms, Media and Technology vertical. He has also worked with leading broadcast and print organisations.

James Miner, Chief Executive Officer, MinerLabs & Video Assure

James Miner is CEO at MinerLabs and Video Assure. Video Assure is a cloud-based video stream monitoring platform with instant insights and forecasting to help content companies better monetize streaming media. A digital pioneer, James led teams in Asia, and Silicon Valley holding leadership roles at About.com, ESPN STAR, Fox Sports Asia, Scient, and WPP. James is a Digital Committee EXCO member of SGTECH. His teams have won SITF Award Silver, and APICTA Awards Gold.

Stéphane Le Dreau , SVP , Regional General Manager APAC, NAGRA

Stéphane Le Dreau is the Senior Vice President, Regional General Manager APAC Nagra. He joined the company in 2009 as VP Product and Solutions in the marketing organization and has taken South Asia Sales responsibility in 2011. He has over 18 years of experience in the management of complex solutions in international environment, holding various senior sales and marketing positions at Nortel in Dallas (US), Hong Kong, Paris (France) and London (UK).

Pascal Métral, VP, Legal Affairs, NAGRA

Pascal Métral serves as Vice President of Legal Affairs for NAGRA/Kudelski Group, a world leader in digital security and cybersecurity. He joined NAGRA in 2003 as an external counsel specialized in IP and criminal law, stepping into the role of the in-house counsel in charge of anti-piracy, anti-cybercrime and corporate matters in 2009. Pascal also heads a global team of in-house and external lawyers and investigators within the NAGRA Anti-Piracy Services unit.

Ranjeet Laungani, SVP, Asia Pacific, Nielsen Marketing Cloud, Nielsen

Ranjeet Laungani leads Nielsen’s digital and media businesses across Greater China and North Asia and is also responsible for the expansion, growth and commercial success of Nielsen’s Marketing Cloud and DMP solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Ranjeet has spent over 15 years with Nielsen across its buy and watch verticals. He has two undergraduate degrees and holds an MBA in Finance.

She is in charge of the company’s media and entertainment businesses including Hong Kong’s largest pay TV service Now TV, pan-regional OTT streaming video service Viu in South East Asia, Middle East and South Africa, and digital streaming music service MOOV.

Derek Choi, Head of Pay TV, PCCW Media Group

Mr. Derek Choi joined PCCW in 2003 and is currently the Head of Now TV. Derek has been working for Now TV for over 15 years and has held various key positions in Marketing, Commercial & Sales, in which he has a proven track record in leading Now TV towards successful business growth. Prior joining PCCW, Derek also held key marketing positions in several multinational banks in Hong Kong, where he gained his marketing experience in the banking and finance industry.

Unmish Parthasarathi, Founder, Picture Board Partners

Unmish's love affair with digital video started in 2000, when he was deputed from the London newsroom of Sports News Television (IMG's JV with the Associated Press) to create a wholesale service offering for "portals". Next came a startup, creating videos of Champions League matches and Robbie Williams concerts followed by the iPlayer at the BBC, ESPN Player in Singapore, KL and Hong Kong, Ballball in Indonesia, Vietnam & Japan, and, in-match video highlights for the ICC in 140+ countries.

Virat Patel, Managing Director, Pioneer Consulting Asia

Virat Patel is the Managing Director of Pioneer Consulting Asia, a management consultancy specialising in telecoms, media and digital in Asia. He is based in Singapore. He has extensive experience in business strategy, business planning, and market entry. He has developed pay TV, broadband and video strategies for platforms and content providers. His team has undertaken primary research on changing viewing habits in 10 markets in Asia. He is also an executive coach and mentor to executives in media and telecoms.
